Leuko Derma (Vitilgo) : - Medical Treatment

Vitiligo, also known as leukoderma or Phulheri, is a disease affecting color producing cells (melanocytes) and presents as milky white patches on the skin. It has a social stigma associated with it; most of the people think that it can’t be treated. Now a days there are many treatment options available. Most of the patients respond to medical management depending upon site of the disease & color of hairs on the patch. Treatment options include:-

  1. Topical creams & lotions.
  2. Oral medicines like vitamins, zinc & other medicines
  3. Phototherapy ( PUVA & Narrow Band UVB)
